Leandro Reis, Senior Globalization Program Manager at Adobe, recently wrote up a tremendous synopsis of the world-readiness of online map services on his blog.

From user interfaces available in 57 languages on Google Maps to units of measurement, each little piece of information pertaining to a specific locale is taken into consideration. Reis’ article highlights the intricacies of how each map service interacts with the user.
